Back with a V8 instead of the W12 in the old Continental GT, the 2012 version certainly looks and feels more aggressive. Even though with less cylinders, the 4L V8 engine produces a whooping 500hp and 660Nm of torque.
Cylinder deactivation technology effectively turns the V8 into a V4 to improve fuel economy by 8%, and when you need to exercise your right foot, the V8 surges back to life, unleashing all 500 horses on all four tyres.
Despite the car weighing a hefty 2.3 tonnes, losing 4 cylinders and 2 litres, the car manages a zerotosixty mph time of 4.6 seconds.

The V8 can be distinguished from its W12 brother by the shape of the exhausts which reassemble the figure 8 |
